The Treasurer's office is responsible for the receipt, depositing, investing and recording of all funds for the county, school districts and special districts.

It is the policy of the Modoc County Treasurer-Tax Collector to invest public funds with the following investment objectives in mind:

1. Safety of principal - the preservation of principal is the primary objective.



2. Liquidity of Investments - the pooled investment fund should remain sufficiently flexible to enable the county to meet all reasonable anticipated operating requirements.



3. Yield - achieve an optimum rate of return, consistent with the risk limitations, prudent investment principles and cash flow restraints of the county.
